The Producer
Originating from Java in Indonesia, these beans are deliberately aged for 5 years to simulate the historical aging process of being transported in the hull of a ship during voyage to Europe. This aging process not only deepens the flavour profile, but also means that the beans lose their vibrant green colour and instead take on a light brown colour before even having been roasted.
