The Producer
Founded in 2009, SMC was set up to cater towards the growing demand of the speciality coffee market, supplying high quality and certified offers. Despite being fully integrated to Cooxupe (the single largest coffee co-operative in the world) SMC are also distinct, having their own team, warehousing, and laser colour sorters. One way they ensure the correct coffee is being processed and moved is through microchipping, the forklifts are all electronically operated and if the tag doesn't correspond to the correct order then the forklift won't even operate.
