Birchall Virunga is an aromatic tea that can be enjoyed throughout the day. This magnificent tea is an expert blend sourced from estates across East Africa which is widely acknowledged as the growing some of the finest tea. The Virunga estate in this area is famous for its adherence to its sustainable methods and techniques.
Enjoyed with or without milk, the Birchall Virunga tea is celebrated for its light and smooth finish.
In this region, the tea bushes grow particularly slowly, at high altitude and relatively low temperatures. This allows the leaves to develop a greater flavour before they are individually hand picked. Birchall Tea is never picked using machinery, ensuring that the leaf, the bud and the stem are expertly pinched together. It's this technique that results in Birchall Virunga Rainforest Afternoon tea having its yellow golden colour and bright, refreshing flavour.
