Originating from Estates across East Africa, where some of the world’s finest teas are grown from Rwanda through to the Great Rift Valley in Kenya, Birchall Great Rift Tea is masterfully blended to create a bold and flavoursome premium breakfast tea. Hand-picking the tea leaves is what gives Birchall Great Rift tea it’s vibrant golden colour and invigorating taste.
Growing slowly, up high and in reasonably low temperatures in this area of East Africa allows the leaves on the tea bushes to create a deeper flavour ahead of them being hand-picked. To ensure the leaf, the bud and the stem are expertly pinched together, Birchall Tea never use machines to pick, this makes certain that that Birchall Great Rift Tea retains its vibrant golden colour, and uplifting flavour.
The tea is packed in a large 1kg bag and is Rainforest Alliance certified.
